Job Seekers

There is no charge to area residents to become a Columbus Works Member. Members voluntarily complete the 5-day job readiness training and participate in on-going holistic support.

The Columbus Works approach includes a unique holistic approach to removing barriers to successful and sustained employment. 
Columbus Works serves two clients: Job seekers (Members) who desire to work their way out of poverty, and employers (Employers Partners), who pay fair wages and offer benefits. By addressing multiple concerns and needs of both Members and Employer Partners Columbus Works is able to eliminate barriers to successful and sustained employment, which impacts economic self-sufficiency.   Economically self-sufficient individuals are taxpayers, role models, and productive citizens who are able to provide for themselves and their families without public assistance.

Columbus Works, Inc. is the Cincinnati Works Affiliate for the Columbus metropolitan area. Cincinnati Works is an award winning model for impacting poverty by providing access to training and assistance removing barriers to sustained employment.

Columbus Works mission is elimination of poverty for those of our neighbors who desire to change their lives but don't know how, through provision of our workforce training and long-term wrap around services, so that individual lives are changed and families are positively impacted. Every neighbor who so desires services will find a place of value at Columbus Works. After all, who would we leave behind? No one!
